خصائص التعابير العامية


🌟► Idioms are fixed expressions; we can't change the words, their order or the grammatical forms.

🐦► التعابير هي تعابير ثابتة. لا يمكننا تغيير الكلمات، ترتيبها أو الأشكال النحوية.


🌟► A group of words in a fixed order that have a particular meaning that is different from the meanings of each word on its own.

🐦► مجموعة من الكلمات في ترتيب ثابت والتى لديها معنى خاص يختلف عن معاني كل كلمة من تلقاء نفسها. 


🌟► If you're studying a foreign language, idioms are the hardest phrases to translate.

🐦► إذا كنت تدرس بلغة أجنبية، فالتعابير هي أصعب العبارات للترجمة.


🌟► An idiom's figurative meaning is different from the literal meaning. 

🐦► معنى مجازي وهو تعبير يختلف عن المعنى الحرفي. 


🌟► Idioms can’t be translated literally.

مجازيًا: رغم كل شئ / الحقيقة هى. 


(3) at least 

مجازيًا: على أى حال / الشئ الجيد هو أن..../ ما لا يقل عن. 


(4) break the news

مجازيًا: يذيع أو ينشر الأخبار.


(5) cost an arm and a leg

مجازيًا: غالى (الثمن) جدا. 


(6) dead-end job

مجازيًا: وظيفة لا تجدى نفعًا. 


(7) face it 

مجازيًا: يتقبل حقيقة صعبة. 


(8) give one the creeps

مجازيًا: يزعج شخص ما. 


(9) go back to the drawing board 

مجازيًا: يبدأ مرة أخرى من البداية. 

(بالعامية: يبدأ من الصفر.)

مجازيًا: يُفلس.

مجازيًا: يطرد شخص ما.

مجازيًا: يصبح غاضبا جدا / يفقد أعصابه.

مجازيًا: يأخذ قرارًا / يقرر.

مجازيًا: لا يستحق / لا فائدة من.

مجازيًا: يتحمل أو يقاسى بدون شكوى.

مجازيًا: فشل. 


(17) save the day 

مجازيًا: يمنع حدوث كارثة / يحسن الوضع.
